Sea Property International

This is possibly the biggest project we've completed to date. It involved both design and implementation of a complex back end system that can handle a three tier affiliate system with multiple currencies.

The site is also a CMS with special emphasis on property, all properties are searchable by a number of different criteria such as price and various features like the number of rooms and so on.

As usual with our projects the multiple language factor is there, all content can be translated into an arbitrary number of languages.

Thai Recycler

For Thai-Recycler we developed a custom classifieds system, probably one of the best ones out there. Each user has his/her own shop and all items are categorized so you can both browse each shop or by category.

If you're shopping around for a classifieds system feel free to visit the site and check it out to see if it's the right fit for you. We'll happily implement it for you using your own design, no worries if you don't have one, we'll make one for you. There's no extra charge for the system per se, the only cost here is our services.

Sea Bees

Sea Bees needed changes to their old Flash based combination of header and menu. We didn't comply, it was easy to see here the trap they were in, the old consultants had willingly or unwillingly created a very cumbersome solution that was impossible for "normal people" to make changes to.

This put Sea Bees in a difficult position, they would've had to repeatedly come back to us every time they wanted a change, and we don't work for free... The old developers might have felt that this was a good thing but it's not our way, we're the good guys, so we redid the whole thing.

Currently the whole menu is loaded with the help of an XML document that the Sea Bees people can change themselves, the XML controls everything, the menu items and background images, their positions, the content and movement of the animated texts and much more. They will never need to call anyone ever again when they want some changes, great for them, great for us! It's also a good example of the fact that Flash content doesn't need to be static and hard to change.

Inviclub

Inviclub is a place where people can create invitation cards and manage their events, for instance to keep track of who is coming or not and much more.

Our job here ended up being a complete rewrite of the Javascript application that creates the invitations, for this we used Prototype, Scriptaculous and the LightWindow script which is based on the two former frameworks.

We also did a lot of changes to the PHP that is powering the site which is using the Symfony framework. An example is that we started moving the code away from the cumbersome Propel ORM to the newer and sexier Doctrine, an easy feat with the help of the DbFinder plugin.

Asian Diving Vacation

This affiliate site is using a combination of MODx for content management and jQuery for the menu, it's loading the banner shockwave and communicating with the shockwave. The content of the shockwave is controlled through so called "chunks" in MODx, they control the length of the animations, which pictures to load etc.

Asian Diving Vacation is yet another example (in addition to the Sea Bees header) of the fact that Flash content doesn't have to be static, there are many ways for them to become more dynamic.

In fact, this very site is powered by MODx which is a very capable and pliable solution.
